Man hits car with bat

A 40-year-old man reported that he got into an argument with someone who then hit his car with a baseball bat at the northeast corner of 10th Avenue and West 29th Street Thursday, November 16, at 10:25 p.m. He told police that he and the other driver got into an accident and then started arguing at the scene. He said that the other driver became irate and then hit the front hood of his car with a bat, and left the scene.

Bike thief foiled

A 49-year-old man reported that a 32-year-old man attempted to steal his bike while it was locked up in front of 268 West 23rd Street Thursday, November 16, at 10:25 p.m. The victim told police that the saw the man crouching down by the bike and when he confronted the suspect, he reportedly fled on a skateboard hearing south on Eighth Avenue towards West 22nd Street. The victim said the suspect managed to remove the front nuts to the front tire and that he had bolt cutters. No arrests have been made.

Belligerent patron

An employee at Chuck and Blade inside 184 Eighth Avenue told police that a 21-year-old man harassed him while he was working Saturday, November 18, at 10 p.m. He reported that the suspect was asked to leave the business and while doing so, he reportedly began to yell at the victim and got in his face. The victim told police that the suspect also threatened him.

Jacket stolen

A 31-year-old man reported that his jacket was stolen while he was inside Mexicue at 160 Eighth Avenue Friday, November 17, at 6 p.m. He told police that he was eating at the restaurant and left his jacket unattended in a booth next to the bar and when he went to retrieve it, he realized that it had been taken.
