We'll admit that we were impressed by the chutzpah of the flack who rang the other day to ask for our film critic Armond White's home phone number. Something to do with the movie Brooklyn Lobster.

Why did he want it? Well, the tout explained, White is a very good friend of the film's director. But, we asked, if they're very good friends, doesn't the director already have it? The shill was momentarily at a loss-but only momentarily-before he went back to aggressively pressing us for the number.

While dropping by the office, Armond mumbled, "Don't get me started on Brooklyn Lobster." He added, "Danny Aiello is not a national treasure.
