Mapping Crime on the West Side
A new NYPD database pinpoints felony crimes in the neighborhood -- and Broadway stands out
Want to know where the crime is on the west side?
The NYPD has released its first interactive map of felony crimes in the city, showing in detail where murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny and motor vehicle theft have occurred from Jan. 1, 2012 through October of this year.
Residents can enter their address into the NYPD's map -- available at maps.nyc.gov/crime -- to see which crimes have occurred in and around their neighborhood.
