An Upper West Side resident doctor was shoved to the tracks while waiting for an uptown 1 train at 7th Avenue and 50th Street on Saturday August. 8. This address is within the confines of both the Midtown North Precinct and Transit District 1.

The victim, a 44-year-old emergency room pediatrician at Harlem Hospital, was pushed from behind by an unknown maniac at around 7:48 p.m.

Fortunately, there was no train coming at that instant. The doctor—whose name is being withheld by police—tumbled onto the tracks, suffering cuts and bruises to his legs and face.

With the help of some Good Samaritans, including a couple and woman in the station, the victim was able to climb back to the platform before the next train arrived.

Photos in the NY Post show the physician to be a fit, neat Asian man wearing white shorts, a white shirt and blue Asics running shoes. Bloodied but conscious, the doctor is seen being tended to and wheeled out by EMS, while cops swarm the station. The victim was taken to Bellvue Hospital in stable condition.

At press time, no photo of the shoving suspect has been released. He’s described as about 6 feet tall, wearing a white shirt, black shorts and a black backpack.

Bragg Indicts Dominican Nationals in Shooting of Federal Officer in Inwood

The two Dominicans migrants who attempted to rob and shoot an off duty federal officer and his girlfriend in Inwood Paron July 19, have been indicted—again. Already facing federal weapons charges, the duo also now face new state charges.

On August 6, Bragg announced a slew of state charges against Miguel Mora, 21, and Christhian Aybar, 22—both Bronx residents in the country illegally—who unknowingly targeted an off-duty Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officer during their late night, moped-powered robbery spree.

According to the indictment, on July 19, 2025 Mora and Berroa discussed plans to commit robberies over WhatsApp. At around 11:45 p.m., the duo rode a moped into Fort Washington Park, where they saw a 39-year-old woman sitting alone on a park bench. Mora allegedly grabbed the woman’s phone, struggled with her, and pushed her forcefully.

The defendants then drove north towards the George Washington Bridge and stopped at the red lighthouse at the foot of the bridge.

They saw the off-duty CBP Officer, who was sitting with his girlfriend on a jetty next to the lighthouse, facing the river.

Ayabr turned the moped around, allowing him to flee quickly, while Mora allegedly dismounted, took out a gun and crept along the rocks until her reached the Officer’s. Mora pointed the gun at the Officer’s head, who then pulled out his own firearm. Mora fired and the Officer returned fire.

The Officer was struck twice, once in the face and once on the hand and wrist.

Mora was struck in the thigh and groin and “hobbled” back onto the moped. Aybar dropped him off at a Bronx hospital, where Mora was subsequently arrested. Aybar was arrested the following day. Both were arrested by federal authorities.

Mora is facing attempted murder, robbery, assault and weapons charges, while Aybor eludes the attempted murder case.
